Introduction of the event: |

A dance performance project. The activities include dance workshop, seminar, talk, and dance concert. |
|
2) |
Concept of the theme: |
|
|
Dancers move as if engraving art in the air, and after the performance, the wind swifts away, leaving the memory and impact to the audience. And like the trace (jejak) of wind, it inspires people to think, to feel, afterthe wind blows. The theme is broad and not too specific, it is easier to bring out their own ideas. |

Featuring choreographers from Malaysia and overseas of different training and ethnic background. |

4) |
Each choreographer will present 1-2 dance piece 5-15 minutes in solo,duet, trio, quartet, or in small scales not more than six dancers. |

Duration of the dance: |

For solo-not more than 10 minutes; |
|
|
For dancers 2-6 persons 5-15 minutes. |
|
|
Total duration time of the performance for Jejak Angin provided by each group is not more than 20 minutes. |

Open to all kinds of dance, traditional, contemporary, races, and cultures. |

Objective of the event: |

a) Promoting arts and culture in the region through dance seminar,workshop, and live performance. |
|
|
b) Extend the connection between the dance groups and individual for further collaboration. |

c) To promote Sibu, the Gateway of the central region of Sarawak. |

Only applications submitted through online form at the website are accepted. Please do not mail DVDs. Incomplete applications will not be reviewed. |

Dance photos with costumes are much appreciated. |
|
Please submit 5 pieces of high solution picture of each dance piece in jpeg format. Images must be at least 1.5 MB, or 300dpi or width or height of more than 1200px. |

The pictures will be applied for press release and event’s program. |
Confirmation of participation |
|
The committee of Hornland Dance Theatre strictly requests the invited participants to confirm the participation by e-mailing the confirmed flight booking slips to sidfestival@gmail.com before May 7, 2022. |
|
A kindly reminder to all participants: The period of Jejak Angin is the second semester school holiday of Malaysia and the flight is always full during the school. We advise participants to book the flight ticket to Sibu early. The earlier to book the flight tickets, the price will be cheaper. |

Information of Dance Concert: |
|
The dance concert will be held at Sibu Civic Centre, which is a multi-purpose hall, and will be converted to a theatre-like performance space which can accommodate about 1200 audience seats. Due to the pandemic of Covid-19, and have to follow the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) only 600 audience seats will be arranged. |

Transportation |
|
|
All participants should arrive at Sibu on the 9th of June, 2022 before 5pm and leaving on the 12th of June, 2022 before 1pm. |
|
|
Participants are responsible for their flight transportations and expenses both to and depart from Sibu. HDT does not pay the flight expenses for the participants. |
|
|
During the stated period of Jejak Angin, the organizer will provide local transportation to all sites of the official activities, including the transfer between Sibu airport and hotel. |
|
|
For transportation outside of the timetable schedule, participants will have to pay for the transport fee. |
|
|
For those who arrive earlier than 9th June, 2022 before 6pm and leaving later than 12th June, 2022 before 1pm will have to pay for their own transport expenses. |
|
2) |
Accommodation |
|
|
The organizer will provide accommodation to participants for 3 nights (from June 9 to June 11, 2022). Accommodation to a maximum of 8 people of each group (according to the dance piece, total number of dancers, which limited to 6 dancers, 1 director/staff, 1 choreographer) will be provided. |
|
|
Check in on June 9, 2022 before 6pm; and check out on June 12, 2022 before 1pm. |
|
|
The accommodation will be room sharing-based arrangement. Depending on the size of the room provided by the hotel, two to four persons will be sharing a room. And the members from the different groups (same gender only) will be arranged to share a room when it is necessary. Those who do not want to share a room with others and wished to have a room to their own will have to pay for the room charges at the registration counter of HDT. One room is RM200 per night. |

Please note that HDT is not responsible for the expenses of accommodation if the participant arrives earlier or departs later than the date and time decided by HDT. And the room provided not including extra services such as laundry, extra meal, telephone out call, and etc. |

3) |
Meals |
|
|
During the 3-day period of JEJAK ANGIN 2022, the organizer will provide meals (breakfast, lunch, and dinner) to all participants through the assigned Liaison Officer. Meals will be paid by the participants if they arrive earlier or depart later than the prescribed date and time. Meals are Halal, will only be served within the stated dining time on the timetable. |
Insurance and other fees |
|
All participants are advised to arrange for own individual travel and medical insurance during the stay in Sibu for Jejak Angin. |
Photography and Video Recording |
|
All photography and video recording in the dance concert which is not authorized by HDT committee are prohibited. Leader of each participating groups will receive a video link of their performance to use for non-profit promotional purposes. And the password from HDT to download the picture from the official website. |
Rules to be observed by participants |

Attend all related activities arranged by HDT. |

3) |
Cooperate with all the arrangements and instructions given by the staff members. |
|
4) |
Be punctual for all activities. Late arrival or early departure is not allowed. |
|
5) |
HDT reserves the rights to broadcast the festival performances, partly or entirely. |
|
6) |
HDT reserves the rights to use any performance pictures or videos for the festival’s sake. |
|
7) |
No open flame is allowed in any of our buildings at any time, including all theatres and dressing rooms. |
|
8) |
Smoking is prohibited in all buildings. Please inform any smokers of this in advance of your arrival to avoid any misunderstandings. |
|
9) |
Please take care of your personal valuables to the event, we have limited capability to provide secure storage for personal property, and are not responsible should your personal property be lost or stolen. Please contact the counter of the hotel to arrange for safe keeping of personal belongings and any company equipment. |
|
10) |
Only authorized personnel will be allowed to enter back stage or onstage. Due to limited space, for your safety and ours, friends or family members are prohibited backstage or onstage. |
|
11) |
All company equipment and belongings must be removed from the performance space right after your performance. You may not leave items to be picked up following your departure. |
|
12) |
Cooperate with the organizer to achieve successful Jejak Angin event. |
