There are many meaningful ways to get involved with the Sibu International Dance Festival. The success of our organization is driven by a supportive community of patrons, interns, volunteers and partner organizations.


The Sibu International DanceFestival (SIDF) is a platform of interaction for pursuits in art and education of dance form around the world and an ideal avenue for exchanges in creativity, friendship, and displays the diversity of dance. It has attracted growing numbers of cultural tourists each year. SIDF 2013. The 2013 festival has attracted 14 dance troupes and generated revenue for increasing hotel room nights used by patrons and participants. Leading up to the next festival, we offer a wide range of advertising opportunities including but not limited to our website, the festival’s ticket brochure, the rack card-sized festival guide and the program book.

Each year, the Sibu International DanceFestival engages more than 50 supporters throughout our community to assist as volunteers. These committed individuals perform a variety of helpful tasks, including ticketing, brochure/poster distribution, ushering, artist/patron hospitality, production assistance and much more. The Sibu International Dance Festivall is a curated Festival. The planning of each year’s Festival, an invigorating mix of dancing arts, is an ongoing process. Projects and programs are developed with artists, companies and individual performers often several years in advance.

We keeps in touch with what’s happening in the dancing arts around the globe, traveling in search of artists and performances to bring to SIDF. In Festival 2013 we welcome artists from Taiwan, Thailand, Singapore and China.
