Sibu International Dance Festival 2017
A world platform for artists and arts organisations to explore, to exchange experiments and to inspire concepts, showcasing the diversity of dance in the land of Borneo.
From Aug 29 – Sept 02, 2017, there are 10 sessions of dance workshop and conference, held by professional dance artists from 17 different groups. The genres include street dance, butoh, traditional dance, contemporary dance and many more.

Sibu International Dance Festival 2017 from 29th August to 2nd of September features 17 groups from 13 countries.

2017 Dance Troupe
HORNLAND DANCE THEATRE, founded on 17, July 1995, based in Sibu promoting the art of dance and the education.
We have training in Ballet, Contemporary Dance, Cultural Dance, Ballroom Dance, and Yoga
SIBU MUNICIPAL COUNCIL, a local authority which administers Sibu and other areas. SMC is responsible for public health and sanitation, waste removal and management, town planning, environmental protection and building control, social and economic development and general maintenance functions of urban infrastructure.
SIBU, an inland town, and the capital of Sibu District (229.8 square kilometres) in Sibu Division, Sarawak, east Malaysia. It is located at the confluence of the Rajang and Igan Rivers, some 60 kilometres from the ocean and approximately 183.3 kilometres (114 mi) east-north-east of the state capital Kuching. Sibu is the main tourist gateway to the Upper Rajang River, with its small riverine towns and its many Iban and Orang Ulu longhouses.
