5. 身/聲/心一統工作坊 Body / Voice / Mind Integration Workshop Peng Zhang’s recent practice explores the relationship between the individual and the community through a creative approach of “retracing and restarting,” examining how “I” and “we” interact within a constantly changing society. Drawing inspiration from traditional rituals, shamanic dances, and ancient songs of ethnic minority communities in southwestern China, his work connects the past, present, and unknown. In his recent works, Peng Zhang and his performers embody the “Tima,” ritual priests and guides of the Tujia people, inviting audiences beyond the conventional roles of performer and spectator to become active participants in a shared ritual experience of introspection, awareness, and connection. |
