Contemporary Jazz Dance Theatre,Taiwan

Contemporary Jazz Dance Theatre was founded by local artist couple Lin Chi Bin and Pan Yu Chen in 2005. The group includes many talented artists, designers, and performers of the new generation and middle generation of the modern artistic field. The Chinese name of Contemporary Jazz Dance Theater is “Jue Dai” which comes with two meanings: one is to combine “Jue Shi” (Jazz dance) with “Xian Dai” (Modern dance) as the foundation of the dance theatre. The other has to do with the pronunciation of Jue Dai, which means “something is unusually beautiful and rare”. This was done in the hope that the dance theater will create a new trend in the diverse dance field of Taiwan.

爵代舞蹈劇場於2005年由林志斌和潘鈺楨夫妻所共同創立，網羅了現今藝術界眾多的新生代及中生代創作、設計者及演出人才參與製作；將舞團命名為「爵代」用意有二：一是希望以「爵士舞」和「現代舞」來奠定舞團未來的趨向，另一則是取「絶代」的諧音，希望本團能在今日多元豐富的台灣舞壇上，開創出一個新的風貌。

Jazz Kontemporari Teater Tarian diasaskan oleh pasangan artis tempatan Lin Chi Bin dan Pan Yu Chen pada tahun 2005. Kumpulan itu termasuk banyak artis berbakat, pereka, dan penghibur generasi baru dan generasi tengah padang seni moden. Nama Cina Jazz Kontemporari teater tarian adalah “Jue Dai” yang mengandungi dua makna: satu adalah untuk menggabungkan “Jue Shi” (tarian Jazz) dengan “Xian Dai” (tarian moden) sebagai asas teater tarian yang lain mempunyai kaitan dengan sebutan, daripada Jue Dai, yang bermaksud “sesuatu yang luar biasa indah dan jarang”.Ini dilakukan dengan harapan bahawa teater tarian itu akan mewujudkan satu trend baru dalam bidang tarian Taiwan yang beraneka.
